I am a professional film editor as well as sound designer. I currently live and work in Belgium, but my inspiration
is influenced by my country of origin, Italy.
Trained as a musician, after several years I approach editing as a partition of music, a melodic and harmonic line that develops and
exposes itself throughout the film.
As a passionate person about acousmatic music, I consider the sound as material to be shaped. Whether it be anything which is in an audiovisual
soundtrack or a piece without images, I am mostly interested in the orchestration of sound components and their arrangement, as performed by a composer
with musical instruments.
As an editor, I work on documentary, short film and TV series projects produced mainly in Belgium and France. I teach editing at the "Ecole de Photographie
et de Techniques Visuelles Agnès Varda" as well as "ESRA", both located in Brussels.
I currently work on a socio-educational project consisting in sound workshops for kids in the neighborhood I live in.
I play piano as well as cello, specially classical repertoire.
