Laura Colmenares Guerra lives and works in Brussels. In 2002 she obtained a Masters degree in Audiovisual Media at Los Andes University in Bogota and in 2008 a Postgraduate Master in Transmedia Studies at Sint>Lukas, Brussels.
In 2014>2016 she pursue her studies with 3D Master Jean Yves Arboit and specialized in 3D Motion Design and Film Compositing.
Laura’s work explores the potential of a diverse range of media including video, photography, 3D, matte painting and compositing. She combines these elements using composition techniques, common to film production.
Laura has worked as a freelancer during several years. Editing, motion graphics, compositing and 3D are fields that she masters deeply. She has also created & directed numerous projects in the fields of visual arts, often collaborating with directors & stage designers.
In parallel, Laura works often with the music industry for which she produces audiovisual pieces. She is also interested in the world of advertising, where she provides intelligent technical skills, knowledge and a broad view on digital media and its various applications.
Visual specialist, in constant research to enrich her skills, Laura has a deep sense of organization, teamwork and tight deadlines. She works towards the goal of finding audiovisual languages that fit each project.
Her flexibility to lead or follow the different members of a team finding a common line, coherent and creative, while respecting the facets of each individual, makes of Laura an essential element in a work team.
